Raspberry Scones

With the school year coming to an end, Ethan wants to thank his teachers. However, he has a whole lot of them. There's his class teacher, the assistant, music teacher, art teacher, 3 IT teachers, PE teacher, who knows how many swimming teachers.

Yikes!

We're taking our time to bake them all something.

Ethan has art today, so yesterday he decided he needed to make something for Maria. He went through his cookbook (yes he has one) and choose raspberry scones.

Ethan combined 125g flour with 25g butter. Using his tickling fingers, he tickled them together until it became crumbly.

He then added 25g sugar and 50g raspberries.

Gradually 100ml of buttermilk was added.
Ethan then made circle shapes in the dough using a glass instead of a cookie cutter.

Ethan knows the oven is hot, so he had his mommy place them in the oven for 10 minutes.
Since it was the 1st time he made these, we had to try one to make sure they were good.

Thank you to CBeebies and I Can Cook for inspiring Ethan to make something for his teacher, all on his own.
